The sunny side

God grant me the courage to not try to karate chop a plane window so that I can toss my child into the cold, unforgiving waters of the North Atlantic.

She is not always the screaming, hair-pulling ratbeast from hell. Sometimes she reminds me why that pain has lessened to a dull ache. There are the difficult times - far too many these days for my liking, but then there are moments when I realise that I would take a thousand of those times for just one glimpse of this:

She came to get down. Apologies for the sideways nature of this video. I don't have the in-depth knowledge to flip it.

Godspeed to me.

P apparently came to get down JUST LIKE HER AUNTIE BECKY.

Here's hoping for a lovely trip for you all.

Catch you on the flip side.

Except for the crick in my neck from standing up and twisting my whole body to the side to watch :-) she is reeeeeeeeeeally cute. And that was really funny.

When you are in the states, where are you going to be? What about the nation's capital? It is a lovely city.

Have a wonderful trip.

She's adorable. And they are all screaming, hair-pulling ratbeasts from hell some of the time.

Enjoy your trip.

I promise the trip will be easier than you expect.

Have a great trip.

(And I have never been able to figure out that rotate-the-video thing...I think it's impossible.)

Ha! Let me know about the karate chop thingie. I just finished packing for the four of us for two weeks at my parents' house. Four people, 9 bags, one stroller, and two car seats. Lord help us all.

Don't you hate it when they do something cute that keeps them from being fed to dingos??

Curse little kids and their inate ability to be "cute"!

So freakin' cute, I can't stand it.

Good luck on the flight! Remember, no matter how hellish it is, it will end. And hey, remind me, how long are you going to be in PA? any chance of maybe a NJ meetup, halfway?

That's the funniest thing I've seen in quite some time. Happy travels across the pond.

Ah, well, she clearly heard about the cold, unforgiving waters of the Atlantic and opted for a pre-emptive strike on the cuteness front.

And then they stop being screaming hair-pulling ratbeasts and start arguing with you. Oh joy.

I love that you're encouraging your child to rock out to vintage hip-hop.

Also, you must re-send me your mother's address, por favor.

I'll say something pertinent when I've finished snorting over Ratbeast From Hell!
